Innovation at Railway Sidings
Loading and unloading truck semitrailers directly on the track: at ground level or at the ramp, individually or in a trainset.
Just like conventional freight wagons, e.g. 13.62m long semi-trailers can be loaded and unloaded sideways whilst the trainset is on the tracks. It is also possible to raise or lower containers or swap bodies on and from container chassis.
To load semi-trailers or containers, which have only one rear door, for example refrigerated containers, they can be easily removed from the composite. After lowering the trailer lift axles and pulling forward the neighbouring units, they can simply be driven from the tracks by a truck tractor (alternatively Tug-Master) for loading and unloading.
